Police attempted to stop a white Holden Commodore ute at about midnight on Sunday in Stawell, but the driver was able to evade their efforts. A second incident followed about half an hour later.
"Police saw a vehicle being driven erratically in the Cooper Street area in Stawell, when they tried to intercept the car failed to stop," Acting Sergeant Bryan Anderson said.
"About half an hour later the same vehicle was seen in the Illawarra area and failed to stop for police once again."
Acting Sergeant Anderson said anyone with knowledge about the incidents or who may have witnessed them are urged to contact Stawell Police or Crime Stoppers.
