The company first announced plans to expand late last year, when it also announced it had received a state government grant worth $500,000.
The company is investing in new major capital equipment in advanced laser cutting and materials handling, and expects to have its latest European technology-based laser cutting and related Stopa component storage equipment ready for commissioning in the first quarter of 2020.
Managing director Wayne Gason said the company already had a highly skilled workforce and has an active apprenticeship training program.
"We have always had a reliable and supportive workforce of principally local residents, but currently we are looking to add at least 15 new trades employees to our team," he said.
"With our product range is growing as more advanced machinery is released, we offer immediate job opportunities for experienced welders and press brake operators who possess a strong work ethic and the relevant trade qualification.
"We are having significant success with our continued investment in, and diversification of, our rural product range."
Mr Gason said he wanted to attract more people to Ararat to help supply local the labour force.
He said it was an attractive area due to its affordability and location.
"The median price for a home in Ararat is currently only $211,000 and local real estate agents list a number of local home purchase opportunitie," he said.
The company currently employs over 120 staff.
