THE Ararat Rats A grade side has maintained its position on the ladder after it claimed a second consecutive victory against Nhill at the weekend.

The Wimmera League round 11 match saw the two sides clash at Ararat's Alexandra Oval on Saturday in unusually fine conditions.
The Rats started out strong from the get-go, claiming the court and a four goal lead by the end of the first quarter.
Nhill fought to keep up but was only able to add three goals to its total of 12 goals by half time.
Meanwhile, the Rats reached half time with 29 goals.
A grade coach Taylor Mason said the side was starting to think of its chances for the finals after maintaining its top three percentage.
The side is now sitting below Minyip-Murtoa and Horsham at 107.92 per cent - just a slim lead over the Warrack Eagles who sit at 107.75 per cent.
"We had another great game following Warracknabeal last week," Mason said.
"This week we focused on boosting our percentage because that's what we need to do coming up to finals to hold a top three position.
"We are definitely starting to think about finals, being in the back end of the season and having gone through every team.
"We're thinking about what we can do to give ourselves a chance."
However, the side is still without Kate Bligh after a round nine knee injury.
Mason said Bligh was still having the injury assessed.
"We will know more on Monday and hopefully we'll know exactly what we are dealing with, and what we can do to get her back on the court," Mason said.
"She sat on the bench (last weekend) taking on a bit of coaching of the game."
