Ararat froze on Sunday night and Monday morning, reaching a low of -4.3 degrees at 6am on Monday with an apparent temperature of -10.6 degrees, among the coldest in the state.
Only Falls Creek (-4.6 degrees), Mount Buller (-3.7 degrees) and Mount Hotham (-5.3 degrees) recorded cooler temperatures from overnight.

Stawell was not far off Ararat's low on Monday morning, hitting -2.6 at 7am.
Horsham endured a chilly night, sitting below zero degrees from between 1am and 8am. The town hit a low of -2.3 degrees at 7.30am.

Warracknabeal reached a low of -0.8 degrees at 7.30am, Edenhope dropped to -0.4 degrees at 3.30am and while Nhill didn't reach below zero, it still hit a low of 0.4 degrees at 6.30am.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a frost warning for the whole of the state for Monday morning, as well as for parts of Victoria across the weekend with more low temperatures.
