A WOMAN driving 70 kilometres over the limit with two young children on board will appear before the court to answer charges.

Sergeant Bill Alford, of St Arnaud, said about 4pm on Monday police detected the vehicle driving 170 kilometres per hour along Banyena Road, approximately 10 kilometres north-west of St Arnaud.
No drugs or alcohol are alleged to have been involved.
"A vehicle driven by a young mother with two young children on board was detected on the Banyena Road," he said.
"She will be dealt with accordingly. Her licence was not immediately suspended but it will be dealt with in court."
