They have released an image of the man, who is known to frequent the Ararat area.
Northern Grampians Police said they issued two warrants for Vernon Cann after he failed to appear at Ararat Magistrates Court in relation to theft and firearm offences.
"Police have released an image of Cann in the hope someone can provide information on his current whereabouts," the police said in a statement on social media on Thursday morning.
Police said people who could help should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
