
Proposed works to the duplication of the Western Highway at Buangor have once again been delayed.
After committing not to begin work until the end of May, Major Road Projects Victoria has provided an assurance that work will not commence before June 12, 2019.

The delay has been made as Major Roads waits on the outcome of a protection application currently being considered by the federal Department of Environment and Energy.
Works on the highway were set to commence in March, but activists established a blockade to prevent access to the area.
