In a dominant display, the Wimmera league side nullified their Murray league opponents across the field on their way to an 18.19 (127) to 12.10 (82) victory.
Coach Guy Smith praised the efforts of his team.
"We had a good game plan, and it worked out alright. We basically killed the opposition and didn't give them any opportunity whatsoever. It was great," he said.
"It was faultless from the boys, it actually worked out really, really well."
The Wimmera league side started strongly and raced out to a 76-34 lead at half-time.
A further seven goals in the second half, supported by exceptional tackle pressure, dampened any chance of a Murray resurgence.
Luke Fisher, Deek Roberts and Sam Jasper were the leading goalkickers, with three apiece.
But, it was the defensive work around the field that set up the win for the Wimmera Football League.
"We just wanted to go in and do the good old-fashioned one-on-one footy for a start and see what they had and what we could adjust to," Smith said.
"But, they couldn't compete against our one-on-one, we just killed them."
"The plan was just tackle pressure, because obviously, your opposition is only going to be as good as you allow them to play. That was the main aspect; put the clamps on them, and that's what we did."
Coleman Schache was named the side's best on a day where any player was a chance of taking home the honour.
"The positive thing was there were players who stepped up in multiple bursts that really changed the game and did their part," Smith said.
"The team was fantastic; you'd swear they'd actually played a full season together with the way they played yesterday. It was fantastic."
The game capped off a special day for the Wimmera league.
"I hope it sort of sends a bit of a message to some of the other players that if you get on board, you'll enjoy it," Smith said.
"I think the Wimmera league in general really stood up yesterday. It's a positive for the Wimmera, and it can only be a good thing going forward."
