Chatterbaits are the best method of catching a feed of the Wimmera whiting.
Fishing with yabby bait is slow, while gudgeon bait will produce plenty of small reddies.
RESULTS
Darren Smith landed seven redfin, at an aggregate length of 244.5cm, to take top honours from Stephen Fenwick, with five reddies, going 198cm.
Graeme Nuske also managed five fish at 184cm for third.
No juniors had any success.
Stephen also took out the longest fish award with a 47cm rainbow trout.
The next club competition is at Fyans from 7am, Saturday, May 18 until 11am on the Sunday, with final measure taking place from 11.15am at the clubhouse.
