"Obviously we always hope to win, but I think it's going to be another tough game," she said. "Horsham Saints are back to back premieres ... but I also think that is a heavy weight to have on their shoulders as well.
"So again, if we can play our best netball, I definitely think we can come out on top."
The Rats will be focused on some particular areas during their training and the game itself.
"The Horsham Saints' strength is their defense," Mason said.
"So I definitely think at training we'll be doing a lot of work on our attacking end with our goalies, so we'll just be really focusing on keeping possession of the ball, our smart passes, using a stronger goalie in the end and just knowing when we can give that pass into the goalie and when we need to work it around."
Mason also warned the opposition not to think the younger players would be easier to challenge.
"Young players like Racquel Scott, Tayla Borelli, and Delaney McLoughlin are definitely players to look out for," she said. "Sometimes they think younger players are ones you can get into the heads of, but I think they are all fantastic and they can take whatever any team throws at them."
The young powerhouses will be backed up by the more experienced players too.
"Everyone in my side I have 100 per cent faith in, but I definitely think we'll look towards our players like Kate Bligh - she's got a lot of experience with years of playing netball, and also Krystal Fisher," Mason said.
"They are both very successful players who will be able to keep a steady head.
"We're excited to keep the momentum up."
