THE annual Ararat Uniting Church fete will have an element of surprise this year with the introduction of mystery boxes.
The church will hold its annual fete at St Andrews on Barkly Street, Saturday May 11 and people will be able to pick up a mystery box of mixed goodies for $5.
Doors will open at 9am and all of the usual popular items will also be available, including jams, plants, books, jewellery, toys and trash and treasure.
There will be trailers of firewood for sale, as well as orders taken on the day.
To eat, morning tea will be on offer, as well as the barbecue with delicious egg and bacon sandwiches in addition to hamburgers and sausages.
The raffle has fantastic prizes this year, including a weekend for two at Port Fairy.
