After a very busy weekend off we are into round two. Over the Easter break, Great Western held its annual rodeo on Good Friday. This event was once again a very successful day for the club and a day that wouldn't have gone ahead without the support of all the volunteers that sacrifice their own Easter break to help the club.

This week we play Ararat Eagles at Alexandra Oval to fight out the annual Ararat RSL Anzac Day Cup. This trophy is awarded to the club with the most points at the end of the day. The A Grade girls will have a rest, as Eagles don't have a side, but all other teams will be hoping for wins across the board to cement a position up the top of the ladder.
The seniors will have a full line-up, with the inclusion of Steven Lorenzo, BJ Birch, Mitch Laundy and they are hopeful to have the outstanding talents of Aaron McKinnis joining the line-up pending availability. These are exciting inclusions for the club which is hopeful to play in the finals for the first time since joining the league.
