The AFL Western District commission has revealed it is reviewing its administrative structure.
The commission revealed regional general manager Kate Williamson finished in her role on Monday.
In a statement sent to all stakeholders, seen by The Standard, AFL Western District commission chairman Gerard Lucas outlined the changes.
"I am writing to let you know the AFL Western District commission has made a decision that a dedicated RGM role based in Warrnambool is no longer required and as such Kate Williamson has concluded her role as AFL Western District RGM, effective Monday, April 16, 2019," the statement read.
Lucas' statement said current AFL Goldfields regional general manager Rod Ward had agreed to lead AFL Western District "while they take this opportunity to assess their staffing structure with the view to provide the best service possible to all stakeholders in the region".
"AFL Western District would like to thank Kate for her contribution and commitment to football, netball and her role in the region over the past two years," it read.
