Adam Tribe has won his second consecutive Chalambar club championships on Sunday.
The plus one golfer shot an impressive third round score of 68, two under par to claim the victory.
Tribe, in his last year as an amateur golfer, said he set out to achieve what he wanted for the round.
"I had a handy lead going into the last round," he said.
"But I wanted to push myself to achieve a personal goal to shoot three rounds under par and I did it, which was good.
"I was quite nervous, even though I was in front and didn't have a lot of pressure but to achieve my goal and not worry about what anyone else was doing."
Tribe managed to get the win, 12 shots clear of Michael Harricks.
"Mike (Harricks) is a terrific young golfer, luck just didn't go his way this time," Tribe said.
Tribe will turn his attention to what's next on his road to obtaining a professional golfer status which will qualify him to coach golf and restrict him from playing club events.
"I want to play a few more big amateur events before the end of the year and I lose the amateur status," he said.
"I am looking to go and play the Victorian Country Championships at Cobram in May.
"After that, I'm not sure what the next one will be but I will have a look and plan for the rest of the year."
Tribe is looking at getting a placed at a golf course next year.
"Once I complete the first year of my course I then go straight into my second year," he said.
"I am looking around at golf courses within the western Victorian region and hopefully can get one to accept me.
"I love golf and I love teaching people to play - and once I'm qualified that's what I will be able to do."
In other grades Ken Farrer with scores 87,88 and 86 totalling 261 took home the B Grade championship. Greg Kerr was the runner-up with 265.
Tim Phillip won C Grade with 91, 88 and 93 for a total of 272. Darren Beer came second in C Grade with a score of 276.
