TWO men have been refused bail after they were charged with criminal damage and possession of cannabis following an incident in Murtoa on Thursday.
Malcolm and Gary Taylor, both from Queensland, appeared in the Ararat Magistrate's Court on Monday afternoon.
Magistrate Mark Stratmann told the court that as their bail surety had not been paid, the pair would not be released.
The surety was set on March 29 at $40,000.
After hearing that he would not be released, Malcolm Taylor collapsed in court.
The court clerk called an ambulance as custody officers attended to him.
However, the ambulance was cancelled as Taylor was conscious, upright and breathing after he was helped into a chair.
The case was then adjourned and the men will reappear in Horsham Magistrate's Court on May 20.
