All of the fish caught, except one, were caught at Lake Fyans. All the reddies were in good condition and averaged around 33 to 34cm in length. Trolling lures or fishing with yabbies as bait produced results.
Narelle Smith enjoyed a good weekend, hauling in 12 redfin for an aggregate length of 391cm to take top spot and outfish hubby Darren, who landed nine reddies at 291cm.
Kelvin Wilson, with four redfin at 128cm, took third spot. Wyatt Blake fished Lake Bellfield for a 27.5cm redfin to win the juniors from Lesinda Keirl, with a Fyans 25cm reddie. Daryl Keirl took out the longest fish award, with a 39cm rainbow trout.
The next club competition will be held at Lake Fyans from 6am Saturday, April 6 until noon Sunday, with final measure at 12.15pm at the clubhouse.
