
Greater Western Victorian Rebels boy's and girl's teams seasons have started with defeats.
The girls went down against Dandenong Stingrays in round two of the NAB League Girls under-18s at Ballarat on Saturday, recording their second straight loss for the season.
Stawell's Crystal Summers made her debut while Ararat's Isabella Simmons started on the ball.
The boys managed to claw back a 28 point half-time margin but were defeated by a narrow margin of six points in their first hit out of the season.
Ararat's Jayden Wright was named in the forward line and contributed, kicking two goals for the game.
