The Ararat Jailhouse Rock Festival Committee are proud to announce the 25th anniversary of the event.
Already much loved by locals and visitors alike, the two-and-a-half-day Festival attracts rock 'n' roll fans from across the state and beyond, all who enjoy the many events on the action packed program.
"The 2019 Ararat Jailhouse Rock Festival, in its 25th anniversary year, is set to be one of the biggest in the event's history, " Ararat Jailhouse Rock Festival Committee president, Greg Dalmayer said.
"We have had tremendous help from so many groups and sponsors, all working together to make it the best Festival so far.
"I would like to mention our sponsors, because they are a major part of how and why we can put the program together.
"So a big thank you to the Ararat Rural City Council, RACV, Acacia Caravan Park & Holiday Units, KFC, Swift Clothing, Great Western Hotel and Phil & Morty Automotive.
"This year we have a terrific group of off duty police, called Beat the Heat, who have members helping with the Night Cruise on Friday.
"To win a prize for your car all you have to do is a few laps of Barkly Street and impress the judges.
"The committee also appreciates the help of the members of the Grampians Vintage Car Club and the Wimmera Off-Street Drag Racers who are also officiating at the event.
"Another one of the not to be missed shows is the Rock'n'Roll Dance competition which has come back to Ararat this year."
You can enjoy the action and atmosphere, plus get an eyeful of rock'n'roll costumes and hairdos.

- President Greg Dalmayer
"While there is plenty of action in Barkly Street, we're very pleased to have the Town Hall for our indoors venue. The refurbishments have made it the ideal place for our dancing events, and the dance bands too.
"Our Pin-Up Contest for Miss Ararat Jailhouse Rock 2019, as well as the RACV Fashion Competition will be held next door to the Town Hall, in The Senior citizens Hall. We're looking forward to crowning our next King and Queen of the Festival."
