Leaking and corrosion under the bottom of the pool meant that repairs had to be made in order to ensure it was safe for young children to use.
It re-opened on Tuesday and centre coordinator Sandy Hooper said the community had wasted no time in making use of the newly-repaired pool.
"I'm happy it is back and everyone else is too," she said.
"There are big smiles on their (the children's) faces."
The repairs were carried out over the last few weeks, with an extensive investigation into how to repair it preceding that.
"They had to do a fair bit of research to know what to do and the right way to do it," Ms Hooper said.
"(Once repairs were done) we just had to leave it sit for a little while because it all has to set - all the cement around the tiles - and once seven days was up and it was set, they were straight over here and filled it up."
Ms Hooper said that it was fortunate the closure occurred during the warmer months.
"It wasn't too bad because the outdoor pool was open in all that time anyway, and we had the splash pad for the kids there," she said.
"Everyone is really happy that it is open now.
"The younger kids splash around while the older ones have their swim lessons.
"On the weekends it's great so it's probably a great time of the year to be open again because it's winter and they like to come in and get in the pool."
