Little Athletics clubs across the Wimmera were well represented at the Western Country Region Championships on February 16-17 in Ballarat. Thirty-nine athletes participated in various athletic events at the championships – including Stawell 13 and Ararat 2. Stawell’s final overall standing was sixth – a total of 22 medals and Ararat claimed three for their efforts. Stawell Little Athletics Club president Greg Carter was proud of how the athletes conducted themselves during the tournament. "It was a terrific weekend with some really good results – everyone should be proud,” he said.
