After months of planning and construction, the first of the wind turbines at the site in Landsborough has been installed.
"The first of the 56 wind turbines is now being installed, with construction across the wider site continuing to build momentum," Neoen Australia managing director Franck Woitiez said.
"The integrated wind and battery storage facility continues to create hundreds of local jobs and is well on its way to meeting the targeted delivery date of August 2019.
"Upon completion, the $350 million facility will generate over 740,000 MWh of emission-free, clean, competitive renewable energy per annum for the Stawell region and wider Victoria.”

The project's impact has already been felt in the region, with unemployment figures dropping in both Ararat and the Northern Grampians.
Success of other projects and industries such as Nectar Farms and the rejuvenation of Stawell Gold Mines has also had a significant impact.
“Combined with the pending planning permit from Nectar Farms, it’s an exciting time for our region as this project is a win-win-win for the community, environment and business," Northern Grampians Shire councillor Tony Driscoll said.
