The Combine won the first round in the Warrnambool competition to advance to the next level.
The Combine went up against South Gambier on Sunday.
The team was forced to bat first after losing the toss and captain Sam Cocks took advantage of the opportunity, opening the batting with Craig Marrow.
Cocks was bowled out for 33 and Marrow fell on 24. Travis Nicholson top scored with 43 not out.
The Combine finished their innings on 5-137 after 20 overs.
Swifts-Great Western’s bowlers backed up the efforts of their batsman, strangling South Gambier’s batsmen for runs.
Wil Clough was instrumental, taking four wickets, backed by Matt Heffer and Josh McCartney with two each.
South Gambier finished on 9-88.
The Combine will take on Hamilton in the semi-final on January 27.
If successful, the club will move into the grand final where they will compete for $15,000.
The Combine was able to make its way to the semi-final last season but fell short by seven wickets with one over to spare.
Members of the Combine team have a long road of cricket ahead this week.
