The Redbacks returned to the court on Saturday night and Mt Gambier Lakers, finishing the game with a 51-124 defeat. They bounced back on Sunday against Portland Coasters, winning by four points.
Head coach Marcus Jenkins said he was pleased with the weekend’s results.
“Overall, I was extremely happy from the weekend,” he said
“Our goal was either to go two (wins) and zero (losses) or one and one – so we achieved half of our goal, which was fantastic.
“To come away from that road trip being one and one was really good for us.”
Jenkins said it was important the Redbacks came back firing after a long lay-off at Christmas.
“Saturday night showed us how much we need to come switched on after a Christmas break,” he said.
The Redbacks play their last home-and-away game against the Hamilton Hurricanes on Sunday.
