THE Ararat Crime Investigation Unit has released further details from a burglary at a Barkly Street business on Friday morning in an attempt to appeal to witnesses.
Detective Leading Senior Constable Jason Boyd said police believed a dark sedan was driven by the offenders, and a trailer that had been stolen from another Ararat business earlier the same morning or late the previous night was attached to it.
“We're looking for people who were in the area between 2am and 2.30am,” he said.
“There was someone on a push bike (in the area) between 2.30am and 3.30am.
“We’re also looking for anyone with dashcams, cars or trucks.”

Ararat Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary in Ararat on Friday morning.
Investigators are appealing for public assistance after two motorcycles were stolen.
Police said offenders smashed through a window at a business on Barkly Street about 2.15am.
Once inside, thieves stole two Kawasaki motorbikes.
Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
