THE fire is now under control, with eight vehicles remaining on scene to assist.

THE Grano Street blaze is not yet under control, with nine firefighting vehicles on scene.
Crews have now been battling the blaze at the residential property, located across the road from Aradale Asylum, for about two hours.
No injuries have been reported, although a Country Fire Authority spokeswoman said Ambulance Victoria assessed one person as a precaution.

CREWS are battling a blaze on Grano Street in Ararat.
The Country Fire Authority was alerted to the blaze at 5.06pm.
The fire had completely engulfed one property and a Country Fire Authority spokeswoman said it was threatening a neighbouring property.
The spokeswoman said as at 5.30pm there were eight trucks on scene from Stawell, Great Western, Moyston, Ararat, Smythesdale and Beaufort.
Police are on scene directing traffic.
