In stable conditions, the small competitive field had some light and shifting wind conditions to contend with. The skill of some of the sailors to maintain boat speed even when the wind seemed to have disappeared altogether was the difference as to who ended up at the pointy end of the field and who dropped out the back.
Ross Bennett prevailed, taking line honors in two races held last Sunday, with Moyston sailor Jan Ibs von Seht in second place and club Commodore Johno Knight finishing third. The club will continue to sail each Sunday over the Christmas break but the pennant race series will start again in February through to May to determine club champion.
