Stawell-based Cole finished at the top of her class with an ATAR of 98.05.
Results were released to anxious year 12 students throughout the state on Friday morning, revealing how they had fared in their final year of secondary school education.
Cole’s mother Viv said her daughter was quite calm as the results were being sent out.
“She was fairly cool and calm, I was probably more nervous than she was,” she said.
“We are just over the moon for her. She has given up a lot to put into her study and has been very dedicated and determined over the last few years.”

Cole will look to study biomedicine at Melbourne University which could lead to a future as a doctor.
Marian College principal Carmel Barker said Cole deserved the extraordinary result she received.
“She maintained very high standards and her effort throughout the year was great,” she said.
“She was and inquisitive student, always willing to ask questions and try again to do better.
“Her persistence and resilience was truly rewarded.”
Mrs Barker also congratulated a number of other students that achieved great results “close to Brianne’s”.
She said overall she was pleased with the efforts of all students at the school.
“We warmly congratulate the whole class of 2018, we are proud of all students on their personal best efforts,” she said.
“Marian College is very proud of each and every achievement in VCE, VCAL and VET studies.”
More to come.
