What is our role in the community?
We promote goodwill while raising funds to purchase equipment for our hospital. Our functions are well planned and executed, they raise funds, and just as importantly, everyone has a lot of fun.
Why do you love what you do?
There is great satisfaction in doing something that contributes to our whole community. Being with and working with like-minded people also gives pleasure and enjoyment. We are lucky to be part of a caring and involved community, making new friendships.

What do we love about living and working in the region?
We are lucky to be part of a caring and involved community, making new friendships. Auxiliary members are friendly people and there is always someone close by to enjoy time with.
What is the role of the auxiliary in the community?
We have had five new members join the auxiliary this year which gives us confidence that our Stawell Hospital Auxiliary is well established to continue well into the future.
Our long record of 90 years supporting our local hospital is an indication of our stability in the local community and support given by others.
New members are always welcome.
The auxiliary meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month from February to November at 2pm at Stawell Regional Health in Sloane Street.
If anyone would like some more information about joining the auxiliary, they can call Merrilyne on 5358 1952.
The Ararat Advertiser and The Stawell Times News would love to hear about your community group or organisation. We are publishing a weekly profile featuring the region’s community groups.
To participate send 400 words about your club, plus a picture, to community.vic@fairfaxmedia.com.au.
