The idea came to Mrs Smith after the success of yarn bombing which took off in 2016.
“I decided to spread some Christmas cheer and joy for everyone,” she said.
Mrs Smith will use leftover baubles she had at home to start the campaign near her place of work, Popcorn Toys and Gifts.
Mrs Smith is encouraging everyone to get on board or drop in to see her to find out more information.
“I would love to hear other people’s ideas. I am also willing to collect anyone's left over or unused baubles,” she said.
Mrs Smith said she loved the idea of the yarn bombing but isn’t a knitter.
“It was a wonderful idea and can really build community spirit,” she said.
Mrs Smith is making a list of where the baubles are placed so she can collect them ready for next year.
“I really hope this gives joy and cheer to the residents of Stawell and I hope it’s a tradition we can carry through for many years,” she said.
