McDonald's is also undefeated on 22 points. Josh Matthews was disappointed the speed metre was out of action because he may well have broken the machine with his drives and serves. His team is looking very sharp. George Wills made a successful debut.
KFC overcame a persistent Stan Hamilton by five games. A 10-4 to John Hannett and Andy Wills got KFC away well although Doug Newberry and Phil Goudie made a late charge with a 7-1.
In another close match, Michael Hope and Marcus Matthews drew all three of their sets with Pippa Bush and Carl Barry finally deciding the match in favour of J Ward.
The closest result was a 31-29 win to Intersport over the Medical Centre. Frank Mitchell played well while Kim Hartwich won her three sets narrowly. Tim Hartwich and James Christie saw the depths and the heights of tennis.
