Emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Ligar and Houston Streets in Stawell shortly after 3pm on Thursday afternoon.
Police believe a gold Mazda ran a give way sign crossing the Ligar Street intersection on Houston street, failing to give way to a black Holden.
Both cars were damaged, with the black Holden driving through the fence of 7 Ligar Street.
Police were at the scene investigating further into what exactly occurred.
Two people involved in the crash were taken to Stawell Hospital in an ambulance.
Jack Tyzzer is the owner of the house that was crashed into but was not home at the time of the incident.
“My housemate was home at the time. She said she heard a loud bang, the loudest bang she’s ever heard,” he said.
“Her first concern was my dog which was in the backyard but he’s alright and my housemate is fine too. Apparantly my dog was shaking too which is quite odd.”
Mr Tyzzer’s dog was not the only lucky one, as he was in the area of the crash only half an hour beforehand.
“I was only in there half an hour ago getting rid of a tree, right in the corner where the car is,” he said.
Mr Tyzzer said the intersection has been “notorious for years”.
“A couple of neighbours that have been here most of their life say there have been numerous accidents at this intersection,” he said.
“There have been three (accidents) since I’ve been here.”
More to come.
