Emergency services were called to rescue a man who had fallen on the Pinnacle track in the Grampians on Wednesday afternoon.

Members from SES, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria attended the call out.
”He sustained a shoulder injury at the Pinnacle,” Stawell SES duty officer Jenny Rooke said.
“We (SES) went up on a four wheel drive track to get him, then walked up to pinnacle.”
The man is believed to have been attended to by paramedics having injured his shoulder.
A string of rescues undertaken in the Grampians throughout September and October prompted Parks Victoria to issue a call for care for people visiting national parks.

“Park Rangers responded to nearly 200 lost or injured park visitors last year, a figure we’d like to see reduced,” Parks Victoria area chief ranger Zoe Wilkinson said.
Suggested tips to stay safe include:
- Checking park conditions by visiting parks.vic.gov.au or calling 13 1963
- Staying on track and letting friends or family know plans. Also avoiding heading into a park alone
- Preparing for adverse weather and being fire aware
- Being location aware by familiarising yourself with who to call in an emergency and where you are in an emergency
- Packing the right gear including protective clothing, appropriate footwear, plenty of water, extra food, wildernes first aid kit, map, compass and GPS.
