The Pioneers have also announced the dates for a seven-a-side tournament in Stawell.
Nine members of the club participated in the Hamilton seven-a-side Soccer Tournament on Sunday.
The team came away from their games with one win, a draw and three losses.
President Jason Oosthuizen said it was a good day for the club.
“We were able to keep some good teams at bay, including teams which play in a high league of soccer,” he said.
The club is focused on junior development and a decision has been made to move away from playing soccer in Ballarat League.
The club will now join the South West Victoria Football League for the upcoming season.
“We are working hard behind the scenes to get everything happening. We are working on building a base of strong junior players,” he said.
“We were looking at options to play at the same venue on the same day as the juniors to make the season a very family friendly environment where people can support both junior and senior teams.”
The Pioneers are supported by Football Federation Victoria to align them with a league to suit the needs and vision of the club.
“Tony Francis is working with us and giving options for the club and supporting the improvement for the club,” Oosthuizen said.
North Park will host the club’s first seven-a-side tournament on November 18.
Two fields and eight teams have been confirmed – a number which Oosthuizen said could increase.
“We’ve had a really good response and it’s great to already secure teams already,” he said.
The club will host fundraising, including a penalty shootout opportunity, during the tournament.
