At the first-quarter mark of the 2018-19 season, there are some distinct leaders on the ladder.
Top side Chalambar will take on seventh-placed Wickliffe-Lake Bolac in what should an easy match for the ladder leaders.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac won by 10 wickets in last weeks clash against Youth Club, the confidence they will take into Saturday’s match.
Sam Brown will try his luck again in reaching the glorious ton after making 92 last week.
Middle placed Buangor-Tatyoon and Halls Gap will tussle out for a very even fourth spot.
The match played at Tatyoon should be one of two contests expected to be close.
Buangor-Tatyoon’s Thomas Thewlis will be the player to watch, making 95 in round four.
Second-placed Rhymney-Moyston will welcome Swifts-Great Western to Moyston Recreation Reserve.
On paper, the match looks as the second match to watch of the round.
Rhymney-Moyston has been unstoppable this season, undefeated going into round five.
The Combine will need to have a big score to boost percentage to gain the opportunity to jump into the second spot.
Youth Club will be looking to add a win to the season and boost their runs as they take on bottom-placed Pomonal at North Park.
The Clubbers are very low on percentage but sit on the same points as fourth spot.
Navarre will have the bye.
