At least the weather was good, as the Stawell Angling Club and Lake Bolac Angling Club enjoyed an inter-club competition last weekend.
Darren Smith landed four prime redfin, measuring 167.5cm, to take out top honours from Darryl Keirl, with three rainbow trout measuring 114.5cm. Ray Howard, with two reddies at 92cm, took third. The ladies section was won by Lesley Keirl with a 37cm rainbow trout. No juniors worried the ruler.
Russell Bird enjoyed his weekend taking out the longest fish award with a 53cm brown trout. The next club outing is an open water event in three weeks from 7am Saturday, November 17 until noon Sunday, with final measure at our Lake Fyans clubhouse at 12.15pm. New members are most welcome to come and join us.
