Horsham Police Detective Acting Sergeant Travis Kerr said the incident occurred on August 9 at 4pm.
“A female entered the computer area of Harvey Norman in Horsham. Police are hoping to speak with her as they believe she can assist with their investigation to a theft from within the store around that time,” he said.
Detective Acting Sergeant Kerr said anyone with information could contact Horsham Police on 5382 9200 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Meanwhile, Ararat Police Crime Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance following a grass fire on McDonald’s Park Road, Ararat.
Detective Senior Constable Mal Wineberg said the incident occurred on Saturday, October 13 at about 5.30pm.
“Two dirt bike riders wearing fluro vests, believed to be adult males, were seen in the area at the time of the incident; police believe these riders can assist with investigations,” he said.
“The grass fire was about 50 metres by 30 metres, and destroyed mainly scrub and small trees. No nearby properties or infrastructure were damaged.
“The cause is unknown, but it is believed to be suspicious due to the secluded location.”
Detective Senior Constable Wineberg said police have requested the two riders to come forward, along with any witnesses to the incident.
