Eworks has multiple locations in the Wimmera, including a full-time office in Horsham, part-time ones in Stawell, Ararat and Donald, and outreach services in Nhill, Warracknabeal and Birchip.
The merger, announced last week, will see location branding gradually change to reflect the CVGT name. The Eworks Recruitment Solutions brand – one of three under the Eworks banner – will remain.
Eworks management committee president Glenn Stewart said the organisations’ primary focus was to support employees. He said the move would increase services and support for jobseekers and employers.
“This partnership represents numerous and positive opportunities and will ensure that Eworks continues to achieve its mission of supporting the unemployed and people with a disability within our community,” he said.
CVGT chairman Graham Fountain said the merger would offer greater opportunities for the organisations’ employees.
“The consolidation of the ParentsNext and jobactive regions, combined with the recruitment solutions service means that all employees will have an opportunity for further career advancement, comprehensive training and access to a larger management support network,” he said.
Mr Fountain said both organisations were preparing for an integration period with minimal impact on jobseekers, clients, employees and their families.
“We look forward to continuing to deliver the fantastic service and support that both Eworks and CVGT are doing in the community. We will continue to communicate with all those involved about any changes or updates,” he said.
