The centre will be open from 10.30am to 1pm.
Primary care manager Rhys Duncan said it was important the community knew what rehabilitation services were available in Stawell.
“Most patients would prefer to undertake rehabilitation close to family and friends, but they do not always know about the local services available,” he said.
Mr Duncan said people who were taken to Ballarat or Melbourne for specialist medical attention often began their rehabilitation at the same place they received initial treatment.
“This can place financial and emotional strains on families and loved ones who may not be able to visit due to cost of transport, work or other issues,” he said.
Residents can hear from people who use the centre, view Tai Chi and exercise demonstrations, participate in health and wellness workshops, tour the oncology department and share a free lunch.
