POLICE are seeking public assistance after a two burglaries in Ararat.
Police said a mechanical workshop in Burke Road, Ararat was broken into on September 8 about 4.45am.
A 2001 Nissan Patrol was stolen.
The vehicle was later located at Jacksons Creek Road at 7.30am.
Later in the same day, a grey Reid X3 mountain bike was stolen from a garage at a property on Quarry Road.
Investigators believe the thefts were committed by the same offender/s but that they are unconnected to other recent thefts in the area.
They have asked anyone with information to call the Ararat Crime Investigation Unit on 5355 1500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
