Gasons called in the subs and had a good, even battle with Mitre 10. Peter Matthews and Anthony Kumnick came through with a 9-2 in the final set for Gasons.
McDonald's and FixIT shared three of the six sets, but FixIT won both of the middle sets to enable their team to scrape in by two games. Carl Barry played tirelessly, Andy Kalluri drove and smashed fiercely, while Riley Gason returns steadily. Marcus Matthews sits back as his pupils progress.
Marx Metal now has a full team. They are demolishing teams and won by 22 games. Pippa Bush and Phil Goudie have formed a formidable doubles pair.
Andy Tucker and Simon Barr had a big first set. The Medical Centre did not recover. James Christie and Katie Sanford stepped up and made it an even more miserable night for the Medical Centre.
Garry Hurst is insisting on extra practice this week and will have a sleek team ready to take on FixIT next week.
