It's time to grab your friends and selfie stick and hit up the most Instagrammable places around the Grampians. Here’s just a few:
BOROKA LOOKOUT
If you’re looking for the perfect start to the day, check out Boroka Lookout at sunrise for an iconic pink sky overlooking Halls Gap. The lookout is located 15km from Halls Gap, making it easily accessible for those with limited time. It’s only a short stroll to two viewing platforms and suitable for people with limited mobility.
MOUNT WILLIAM
If you are wanting a 360-degree view of the entire mountain range, you can walk to the summit of Mount William. Despite the steep walk, you will be rewarded with the perfect opportunity to snap that epic pano of the entire Grampians.
PINNACLE WALK
If you want a challenge, try the Pinnacle walk through the Grand Canyon and Silent Street. You will be able to get some amazing and unique pics of the ancient rock formations. Plus, the view from the lookout will be well worth your effort.
MACKENZIE FALLS
“Don’t go chasing waterfalls” is a popular caption choice for selfies taken at the iconic Mackenzie Falls.
Situated only 30 minutes from Halls Gap, the waterfall is one of the largest in Victoria and also flows all-year round.
HOLLOW MOUNTAIN
Hollow Mountain is a superb hiking trail located in the Grampians National Park, not far from Horsham. It offers fantastic views and rock formations that overlook the Mount Stapylton Amphitheatre and Wimmera Plains.
MOUNT ABRUPT
Suitable for fit and energetic hikers, walk to the top of Mount Abrupt and take in the stunning views of the Serra Range and Dunkeld. Keep an eye open for the amazing wildlife on your way, including wedge-tailed eagles, rock wallabies and peregrine falcons.
ONE TREE HILL
One Tree Hill offers unparalleled views over Ararat and the surrounding landscape. To the west is the Grampians National Park, while Mount Langi Ghiran dominates the eastern skyline.
The northern aspect features the Black Range. The view southwards takes in the expansive plains of the Western District.
