Smitten polled 26 votes, finishing three clear of Penshurst’s Aaron Glare with Great Western’s Jackson Thomas further back in third on 21 votes.
Smitten helped the Eagles into the preliminary finals, bowing out at the weekend to Moyston-Willaura however.
Puma Aaron Byron won the league goalkicking award with 76 majors, hoping to add a premiership medal this weekend when they play the Bombers in the grand final.
Byron thanked his teammates for their help during the season.
“I couldn’t have done it without them getting the ball in well to me,” he said.
“Hopefully we can get the job done this weekend. It should be a good game.”
Tatyoon’s Shane Jenkins was also awarded the under-12 coach and administrator of the year, while Pumas coach Scott Maconachie was named under-16.5 coach of the year.
