Warrack Eagles young gun Charlie Wilson continued his good form with a best on ground performance in the Rebels’ 11.9 (75) to 5.9 (39) victory.
Ararat’s Cooper Heard made his Rebels debut in the victory, with injury plaguing him for most of the season.
Heard, who has managed nine games in Ararat’s senior side this season, played alongside Rats teammate Jayden Wright in the win.
“Cooper has probably been a bit stiff not to get a run earlier in the season,” Ararat coach Shane Fisher said.
“He has been injured in the second half of year so it is great to see him finally get a go. I had a chat with him and he said he played a bit in back line.
“The two kids we have in the team will be getting great experience and they will provide a lot to our team come finals time.”
The Rebels will wrap up their season against Oakleigh Chargers at Ballarat’s Mars Stadium on Saturday, August 25.
