Manning was invited to the Ahsell Legends Invitational Drivers’ race in Stockholm in Sweden on August 14.
The invitation comes 21 years after one of Manning’s most memorable victories.
In 1997 Manning became the second female to drive a group one winner in Europe with Knight Pistol in Norway.
She said it was an honour to be invited to a legends race.
“I was over there 21 years ago when I won a race in Norway and they invited me back to compete, which was a pretty big honour,” she said.
“It’s a race that has been going since 2013 and is in honour of a man called Stig Johansson. He was one of the best drivers over there and has retired now. He comes out of retirement each year to drive in this invitation race.
“It will be pretty cool to race alongside him.”
Manning said it was a strange feeling to be invited to a legends-style race.
“My first thought was I must be old to be invited to a legends race,” she said.
“It came at a busy time of year but my husband Grant told me, ‘You don’t get the chance to do this very often’. It’s an all expenses paid trip and it will be summer over there so that will be really nice.”
