League sponsor Gorst Rural is backing the award for another year, with prizes up for grabs for nominees and the winner.
The winner will be announced at the league’s Lewis medal best and fairest night at Lake Bolac on Monday, September 10. Nominations close on Monday, August 20.
MDFL chairperson John Box said the award is a great way to give back to the people who help make local football and netball possible.

“Volunteers are extremely important. There is a lot of pressure on clubs now and without volunteers it is impossible for clubs to succeed,” he said.
“It is a great way to reward the efforts of those that give so much to their respective clubs and communities.”
Moyston-Willaura’s Mick Davis was the winner in 2017.
He used football to get to know his new community when he moved to Moyston in 1999. Since then he has been on many committees and served as president four times and shown tremendous commitment to the Pumas.
Clubs are urged to nominate volunteers who have shown similar dedication and commitment at gorstrural.com.au/community
