There will be a pool of $34,000 available with eligible groups able to apply for project funding of up to $10,000.
Applications will be accepted across five funding areas – education and training, health and welfare, sport and recreation, the arts and culture, and the environment.
Six community projects in the region benefited from the fund last year. Green Hill Lake Development Board received funding to install barbecues at Green Hill Lake, while Alexandra Croquet Club upgraded their hot water service.
The award winning Ararat City Band was also able to purchase equipment to digitise their sheet music, ensuring a lifelong electronic record and entertainment for the community now and into the future.
People can apply for the Ararat Sustainable Communities Fund page at www.pacifichydro.com.au.
