Saturday and Wednesday events did not run, with only a few enthusiastic players having a casual game.
Monday, however, saw a strong field take to the slightly sodden course in a nine hole stableford.
The newest batch of golfers at the club are finding their feet and putting pressure on their more seasoned counterparts.
Marlene Goudie’s 18 points was enough to take the win while the still very inexperienced Pam Brennan came in only one-point behind.
Brennan’s performance with the putter set up her round and she should continue to improve with more regular play.
Another newcomer in Kay Mawson also played well and was in the mix right up to the end of play.
The nearest the pin award was taken out by Gayle Dadswell.
Next week a round of stableford will be held that also doubles as the second round of the WGBD spoon. Entries can be made at the club or with Captain Helen Tucker.
