Runners had the choice of a 5km or 3km track to either run or walk with three major colour bombing stations.
Much of the track journeyed through bushland and suburban streets and made a wonderous sight with participants in once white teeshirts becoming rainbow runners.
Each year it is the responsibility of Marian year 12 group to coordinate and run fundraising events for the Fred Hyde Foundation charity.
Rather than simply seeking cash donations their approach for 2018 was to create innovative fundraising with wider community support, which in turn led to the Colour Run.
The school has raised enough funds in its initial year to establish a kindergarten on the island of Bola in Bangladesh.
The school also thanked the crew from HMAS Ararat who joined in the run.
