The Lions travel to Penshurst to take on the third-placed Bombers on Saturday.
“We trained really well this week and there is a really good vibe around the group,” Great Western coach Will Bell said.
The Lions are likely to make a few changes, with experienced Tom Cairns set for another stint on the sidelines after returning from injury last week.
Great Western has been competitive in recent weeks but one-quarter lapses have cost them.
“I just want to see us continually play the game for four quarters and not fall away,” Bell said.
“We know we have some high quality personnel missing but we still have to compete for four quarters.”
Experienced midfielder Tom Cairns will miss the match through injury but not many other changes are expected.
Bell said despite his team’s lack of form and injury concerns he is not writing his team off just yet.
“It is really hard to read the comp at the moment. Whoever turns up on the day can get the job done,” he said.
“I think the comp is so even that the best team on the day will win, no matter where they are on the ladder.”
