The match is an ‘eight-point game’ with both teams sitting on 16 points, two wins behind fifth place with the loser almost certainly set to miss out on finals.
The Bulldogs are starting to hit some consistent form on the field but the Pumas are in the midst of a slide down the ladder.
Moyston-Willaura was 4-1 after five rounds but have now lost the last four consecutive games to be at 4-5.
The visitors’ form has been considerably better and are coming off a 19-point win against Penshurst.
Rovers coach Kane Tolliday said the win against the Bombers gives them confidence ahead of the round 10 match.
“The performance against Penshurst, we probably didn’t play our best footy in the first half against Penshurst which is the biggest positive, that we led the game while being down,” he said.
“The big thing is we prepare really well during the week, we are happy with how we are playing compared to how we were earlier in the season.”
While the Pumas have struggled in recent weeks, Tolliday said the team is not looking too far ahead.
“They have been a quality side for the past four or five years, so we go in preparing to face a top five team,” he said.
“They are probably due to break their drought with a win with the team probably having a few doubters like us, so we expect a tough match.”
The Rovers will also field one of their strongest teams of the year on Saturday.
“Dan Curran is back in, Forbes will play his second game back and is adds some class and always adds a lot to our team,” Tolliday said.
“We are starting to get close to full strength but they will be approaching it the same as us I think, needing a win to stay in the hunt for finals.”
It will be the Pumas’ first game at Moyston for the year after playing home games at Willaura so far. First bounce is scheduled for 2.15pm.
